This is a call for tender for the Stair and Entrance Rehabilitation project at 65, 75, 85 East Liberty Street, Toronto.
In brief, the project involves the following:
At the North Entrance:
- Demolition and replacement of existing infill sidewalk.
- Stockpiling and reinstatement of existing dimensioned stone steps.
- Removal and replacement of backfill material.
- Reinstatement of stacked precast unit retaining wall at localized repair areas of new graded and compacted backfill.
At the Southeast stairwell:
- Localized surface, soffit and vertical concrete repairs.
- Removal and replacement of existing sealants, interior paint finishes and deteriorated concrete masonry units.
- Installation of sloped bonded concrete topping on landings, elastomeric acrylic wall coating and pedestrian deck waterproofing system at stair surfaces and landings.
- Replacement of existing area drain at stairwell base.
- Installation of new drains on the suspended landings.
The project will take place in Fall of 2023, with an anticipated start date of September 12th, 2023.
